Well this took some time, didn't it? I've been working my butt off on this story to get to this chapter right here, annnnd Im still not sure if it translated from my head to words in the best possible way. My biggest inspiration for this chapter (and the story as a whole) was those kick ass CGI trailers Ubisoft releases with each new game, (altairs opening, ezios carnivale fight, connors revolution horse run, etc.) and I always had this image in my head that I absolutely needed to put into words, this idea of a magician Assassin performing for a crowd in the early 1900's, while being engaged by a pack of Templars just seemed purely bad ass to me. Fighting the enemy while trying to keep a show running simultaneously, I mean, I cannot be the only one who thinks thats just.. rad, can I? Just imagine that!! :happybounce:   So, I originally wanted to write JUST this chapter, just to get it out of my head.. but then I thought, wait, what if there was a whole back story to this, to WHY hes fighting them, WHY theyre after him and exactly who he is?? So, after a quick search on the Assassin's Creed Wiki site, turns out Ubi had implemented a bit of a Houdini story in one of the subject 16 puzzles (just look up Harry Houdini on the wiki) and I used that as my basis, and I plan on keeping it as true as possible to that small page as well as the games! I say it a lot but I cant mean it enough, THANK YOU to all who keep up with this story, and I really hope you stick around to see its heartbreaking conclusion! We have a wild ride ahead of us!

Sharpie! It's AnotherDesperado, but my DeviantArt Username probably gave that away, huh? I'm not sure if you were on the stream earlier this week--I wasn't, but I needed to TELL you how much I am enjoying your story! I really loved this chapter; I could picture it vividly (it was, indeed, rad) and I'm curious to learn more about Arman Adler's story and about Logan's. I will forever be in love with the idea of an Assassin who's a magician; keep up the good work, Sharpie, can't wait until Chapter Nine.
